Meredith A. Johnson (formerly Meredith Zoetewey) is an associate professor at the University of South Florida where she founded and directs the graduate certificate in Professional and Technical Communication. She previously served as director of the graduate program in Rhetoric and Composition and the interim director of the undergraduate major in Professional Writing, Rhetoric, and Technology. Her book, Lean Technical Communication: Toward Sustainable Program Innovation, co-authored with W. Michele Simmons and Patricia Sullivan, was published by Routledge as part of their ATTW Series in Technical and Professional Communication. Her current research focuses on transportation infrastructure. Johnson’s scholarship has appeared in edited collections and journals such as Technical Communication, Technical Communication Quarterly, Computers and Composition: An International Journal, Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy, Enculturation, and IEEE: Transactions on Professional Communication. Along with W. Michele Simmons, Johnson won the Nell Ann Pickett Award for Best Article in Technical Communication Quarterly in 2012. Johnson teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in professional and technical communication and visual rhetoric.
